Training rhesus macaques for venipuncture using positive reinforcement techniques: A comparison with chimpanzees (2008)

Abstract

All subjects were trained to place an arm in a 'blood sleeve' and remain stationary for venipunctures. We were able to obtain repeated blood samples from 75% of [eight adult] macaques. ... An average of 257 minutes was needed to train each monkey for this task.
