Abstract
Nonhuman primates are difficult and dangerous to handle. ... Large or aggressive animals such as male rhesus monkeys should not be handled without the use of chemical restraint. ... Animals are squeezed to the front of their cages and are given an intramuscular injection of 5-10 mg of ketamine per kilogram of body weight.
