The effects of brief manual restraint, prior conditioning and Ketamine sedation on luteinizing hormone and estradiol levels in the female Bolivian squirrel monkey (1988)

Yeoman, R. R., Williams, L. E., Hazelton, J. M. et al.

Abstract

No effects of conditioning - daily manual restraint suitable for blood drawing - on estrogen levels were observed. Ketamine sedation appeared to elevate estrogen and LH levels in some animals, suggesting complex side effects that may interfere with studies of cycling animals.
