The effectiveness of cage toys in reducing abnormal behavior in individually housed pigtail macaques (1996)
Kessel, A. L., Brent, L.
Abstract
Abnormal behavior accounted for 24% [!] of the time during baseline observations. The repeated provision of several toys resulted in a significant decrease in abnormal behaviors during the first 30 minutes. The new toys were used for 27% of the observation time with enrichment use declining over time.
