The bonnet macaque in South India (1965)

Abstract

The bonnet macaque is seen only in areas where there are at least a few large trees, and, given a supply of food and water, the presence of some large trees seems to be the only limitation to their adaptation. .... Weaning occurs between eight and twelve months of age.
