Abstract
Several groups of rhesus macaques with five to seven group members were trained .. to 1) go to the front of their enclosure, 2) go to a designated station area, and 3) touch a designated target. .. While the average amount of time to train nearly all animals in a group to cooperate with the trainer was about 10.4 hours from start to finish .., there are many potential benefits of such an initial investment. These may include increased accessibility to the animals .. in a more timely, efficient, and less stressful manner.
