Abstract

We have been planting trees of different species in this compound for environmental enrichment since 1993. ... Presently, most of the trees planted are still growing well. ... Grasses also grew naturally in the compound and chimpanzees spent about 90% of their total feeding time in the outdoor compound eating them.
