Byrum, R., St. Claire, M.
Abstract
Twenty-four adult pig-tailed macaques are successfully transferred from single- to pair-housing arrangements. We have observed no serious fighting and wounding in our pairs, neither at the moment of introduction nor during follow-up observations of up to two years. ... Pairs will support each other and display aggressive or threatening behaviors toward unfamiliar humans.
