Male pigtailed macaques neonatally separated from mothers for clinical reasons show increased abnormal behavior as adults (2001)
Bellanca, R. U., Crockett, C. M.
Abstract
The proportion of the first 48 months of life spent singly housed was significantly related to abnormal behavior in maturity. It explained 12% of abnormal behavior in mother-reared animals, 42% in experimental-nursery-reared animals, and 55% in clinical-nursery-reared animals.
