Abstract

This publication updates and expands AWIC publication Housing, Husbandry, and Welfare of the Dog Quick Bibliography Series, QB 97-08. The current publication is divided into three major sections: Introduction, Bibliography, and Website Resources. The introduction was written by Robert Hubrecht, PhD., Deputy (Scientific) Director, for the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (UFAW), United Kingdom. Dr. Hubrecht is one of the world's leading experts on animal welfare and husbandry issues concerning the use of dogs in research settings. We hope this will be a useful resouce for all those with an interest in the care and welfare of dogs.
