Group housing on floor pens and environmental enrichment in sandy lop rabbits (1991)
Batchelor, G. R.
Abstract
Species-adequate group-housing arrangements for rabbits are described. Rabbits housed in social groups benefit both from the company of each other and from exercise. While female rabbits are kept in groups with direct physical contact, solitary bucks are housed on floor pens in such a way that they can 'only' see, touch and smell their neighbours without risk of fighting. No data are included in this article.
