Abstract
Environmental enrichment is a tool that can be used to improve an animal's psychological and physical well-being by stimulating its ability to cope with daily changes in the social and physical environment, engaging the animal in species appropriatebehaviors and activities, and reducing or eliminating maladaptive or pathological behaviors, thereby improving quality of life.
