Abstract
Eight male rhesus monkeys .. were individually housed initially in spacious [barren] pens. They were then moved to [barren] baboon cages which were placed inside their pen. They remained in baboon cages for two years after which they were returned to their pens. Abnormal behaviors, including self-bite, hair pull and pace, did not change.
