Abstract

Pair formation technique is described. Five of six pairs tested were compatible during a five to six months study period. Self-abusive behaviors were recorded for five of the ten subjects when singly housed, but were completely absent after pair formation. Compatible partners spent about 31% of the time engaged in allogrooming.
