Abstract

We have developed a draft policy to clarify what we believe must be considered and included in the [enhancement] plan in order for dealers, exhibitors, and research facilities to adequately promote the psychological well-being on nonhuman primates. Primary enclosures should contain elevated resting structures .... [they] should be positioned to facilitate social adjustments and not interfere with normal locomotion [p. 38148].
