An alternative to distressful methods of animal immobilization (1990)
Albertin, S. V.
Abstract
An alternative to traditional devices for immobilizing a cat's head is described. It took 5-8 days of training with positive reinforcement to adapt the animals, and unlike controls, they did not attempt to get free from the head-holding apparatus and failed to exhibit signs of distress.
